With up to 76 per cent of UK adults* now owning smartphones, collectively checking their devices over a billion times a day, there are new opportunities and challenges for retailers, advertisers and businesses to reach their audiences through Digital Marketing. Dot London, the capital’s unique web address, will be hosting a free Digital Marketing Drop-in Clinic for startups and small businesses at this year’s London Technology Week on Wednesday 22 June, from 2pm – 5pm, at The Trampery, Old Street.

The free clinic, run in partnership with 123 Reg, JournoLink, London & Partners and MBJ London, aims to give startups and small businesses with limited budgets and resources the tools to create the perfect Digital Marketing strategy and help improve their online presence, reputation and visibility.

Attending businesses will get the chance to talk one-to-one with experts about the four key elements of Digital Marketing:

Acquire (hosted by 123 Reg) – Attracting the right audience for your business through Search Engine Optimisation, traffic acquisition, email marketing and content marketing;

Engage (hosted by London & Partners) – Knowing which Social Media platform works best for your business and how to engage with your audience;

Build (hosted by MBJ London) – Improving your online and mobile presence through web and app development, as well as mobile optimisation;

Grow (hosted by JournoLink) – Getting the right media talking about your business through targeted Public Relations.

The drop-in clinic will give businesses an insight into what they need to do to take their company and brand to the next level of awareness and stand out from the rest of London’s thriving small business community.

Dan Hill, Head of Dot London, said: “Digital Marketing, in all its forms, is a crucial way of reaching customers, strengthening your brand, and building trust and credibility in the eyes of your target audience. Having the right strategy is crucial so that you can maximise your impact across the whole digital landscape.”

Attendees can book into an hour-long slot – 2pm, 3pm or 4pm – and during that hour they will get the chance to spend 15-minutes with each partner to talk about their specific element of Digital Marketing and how it can be applied to their business strategy. Visitors can choose to speak to all four partners or just the ones relevant to their business.

Hill continued; “With over 436,210 small businesses registered in London in 2015, 43,600 more than the previous year, making up a staggering 98 percent of all companies registered in the capital**, it’s crucial that we show our support to this key area of business growth, such as we did with our Dot London Small Business Awards earlier this year.”
